Change Management Consultant

About the Job

We are always looking for professionals with 8-10+ years overall experience and 5+ years of relevant Change Management experience for work on dynamic client engagements. The applicant should be creative and have strong interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Ideal candidates have relevant Change Management experience with superior oral and written communication skills, a client service focus, a willingness to travel to meet client demands, as well as an ability to define problems and implement a complex solution in a fast paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Change Planning, Implementation and Monitoring
  • Develop and implement Change Management strategy and plan
  • Conduct Organizational Assessments to determine readiness for change and identify and prioritize key focus areas
  • Conduct Stakeholder Analyses to determine level of knowledge, buy-in and support; identify potential issues and develop and implement plans to eliminate/mitigate them
  • Regularly evaluate risks; develop and deliver prevention/mitigation solutions
  • Establish impact assessments to articulate delta between current state and desired end state
  • Develop communications for stakeholders at all levels to ensure knowledge, buy-in and support of Change activities
  • Design, facilitate, and monitor implementation process to build commitment across impacted areas
  • Design consequence management plan to incent / reward new behaviors and discourage old behaviors
  • Develop ways to drive cultural change; shift work and behaviors to support realization goals
  • Create stakeholder maps to inform enrollment, stakeholder management, and change networks
  • Provide sponsorship coaching to prepare leaders to fulfill their roles
  • Establish forums for impacted stakeholders to encourage dialogue (reactions, questions)
  • Provide change execution skill / knowledge transfer across project teams to build capability across the organization
  • Define interventions to involve, make accountable, and integrate different stakeholders at all levels

Demonstrated Knowledge & Skills:

  • Detailed understanding of Change Management methodologies and implementation
  • Proven track record of success in enabling change and leading process improvement efforts
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Ability to effectively influence outcomes, resolve conflict
  • Proven written and verbal communication capabilities; comfort at operating at all levels of the organization
  • Strong ability to multi-task, prioritize and work independently
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with other functional areas to achieve overall organizational objectives
  • Advanced analytical problem solving skills
  • Strong conceptual thinking ability
  • Attention to detail and perseverance to completion
  • Strong organization/time management skills
  • Strong relationship building between internal customers, vendors and employees
  • Able to deal constructively with change
  • Advanced level Microsoft Project, PowerPoint, Visio, Excel skills

Education and Certifications:

  • College Degree required
  • M.S., M.A., or M.B.A graduate level degree a plus
  • Lean Six Sigma familiarity, green / black belt a plus, or similar process improvement training/certification, a plus

Minimum Experience:

  • 8-10years of work experience
  • 5+ years of relevant Change Management experience
  • External consulting experience required
  • Project and/or Program Management experience a plus
  • Process Improvement/Performance Management experience a plus
