Management Consultant

About the Job

We are always looking for candidates with 5+ years of management consulting experience for work on dynamic client projects with the opportunity for professional growth. The applicant should be creative and have strong interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Ideal candidates have project management, process improvement, and strategic planning experience with superior oral and written communication skills, a client service focus, as well as the ability to identify opportunities for improvement, develop recommendations and implement complex solutions in a fast paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Providing leadership expertise and strategic support to clients on a day to day basis
  • Assessing organizational issues and risks and developing mitigation strategies and solutions
  • Developing and facilitating implementation of organizational strategy and design
  • Conducting assessments of organizational structure and effectiveness
  • Identifying project risks developing recommendations and implementing effective and proactive risk mitigation solutions
  • Providing reporting to internal customers on project progress
  • Facilitating group conversations and meetings
  • Conducting and interpreting customer analysis
  • Designing and leading process improvement initiatives
  • Championing organizational change and effectively managing the implementation of new ideas

Education and Certifications:

  • College Degree required
  • M.S., M.A., or M.B.A graduate level degree a plus
  • Project Management Training/Certification such as PMI’s Project Management Professional (PMP) or Prince2 a plus
  • Six Sigma, or similar process improvement training/certification, a plus

Minimum Experience:

  • 5+ years of consulting experience
  • Program management experience a plus
  • Process Improvement/Performance management experience
  • Change management experience

We are seeking candidates interested in full time positions with Major Oak, as well as project-based positions, in the New York/New Jersey area, with potential for travel to client locations as needed. Compensation and benefits are commensurate with experience and qualifications.
